The ingredients of the certified organic face care series
A face care series like this requires the very best ingredients. While we have kept well-known and popular ones because they simply work, we have also gone below ground and underwater for marine-based ingredients that offer multiple benefits for your skin.
Brown algea extract
Laminaria Ochroleuca. That is the name of the brown alga which is more commonly known as golden kelp. The benefits are many and it is part of the formula in our Serum A, Serum H, Daily Face Cream, and Face Exfoliate.
It maintains the moisture balance, softens and smooths your skin while protecting it from free radicals, air pollution and the damaging effect of changing weather conditions.
We also add the extract for its anti-age effect, as it stimulates collagen and makes your skin firmer.
Earth Marine Water
A long name for an ingredient with an even longer list of benefits. Earth Marine Water is a mineralised water that is found deep down in the grottos of the French island Noirmoutier.
Sea water slowly seeps through the geological layers, picks up a multitude of minerals on the way, and mixes with the ground water in the grotto. These minerals are what makes the Earth Marine Water an effective part of our Face Mask and Face Mist.
It preserves and protects the skin’s balance by enriching it with minerals like zinc, manganese, iron and magnesium.
It has an antioxidant effect since it protects the skin from the damaging effects of free radicals, air pollution, cigarette smoke, and exhaust fumes.
The complexion of the skin is improved because Earth Marine Water reduces pores and is effective at hydrating the skin. It also makes the complexion clearer and more radiant. And this after just 15 minutes.
Hyaluronic acid
Known for its anti-wrinkle effect, hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in your body. It is highly effective at binding moisture which maintains the skin’s elasticity, makes it smoother and reduces fine lines. And that is what makes it a prominent ingredient in our Serum A and Daily Face Cream.
As we age, the skin loses collagen and hyaluronic acid which makes it more prone to dehydrate. A well hydrated skin reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles which is why hyaluronic acid is so popular in skincare products.
Oils and extracts
Our face care series is packed with nourishing oils and extracts with numerous benefits.
To mention but a few, just look at the Serum H which is bursting with hydrating oils from almond, jojoba, apricot kernel, sunflower, and olive. The extracts used have an antioxidant effect, such as those from cucumber, cranberry and blackberry which are part of the Serum A.
Rhodacea
Our Face Mask is enriched with this novel ingredient. A kind of gooey substance from the micro alga called Rhodella Vilancea. It is, however, better than it sounds. After just 15 minutes, it boosts collagen and hydrates the skin. The ideal component in a face mask.
Vitamin E
With its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, vitamin E is a given. It is one of the most important antioxidants that protect your skin from the damaging free radicals that make your skin age faster.
The elasticity of the skin is maintained thanks to vitamin E that also delays the onset of wrinkles and other signs of aging.
In this series, vitamin E has been added as an ingredient and is also found in aloe vera, rapeseed oil, almond oil, and sunflower oil.
